The  Octagon House
Diary of Phyllis Hamilton
This book contains a concise history of Macomb
County’s Octagon House.  The author, Phyllis
Hamilton, along with her husband and family,
saved the unique house from demolition, lived in
it for years while offering it for tours to the
public, and gave up just about all personal
possessions to keep it standing.   Phyllis dearly
loves the history of the time that this house was
built and has a special way of conveying this
history in the tons of information she provides.
The book is written so that everyday people can
appreciate a part of the past of our area.  She is
an expert on this house!
Signed Copies of this book are available for $21.00.

Phyllis Hamilton, who is the best example of doing what one
believes in, is the mother of Dave and the Grandmother of Nathan.
